Goldin called the Mahomes National Treasures card “one of the most famous NFL rookie cards ever made” and a big deal in sports collectibles. But it’s not the priciest Mahomes card ever sold. In 2021, LJ’s Card Shop bought a similar one for a whopping $4.3 million. That card had a special NFL patch and was one-of-a-kind.
Despite being only 28 years old and early in his NFL career, Mahomes has already established himself as a football legend. Drafted 10th overall in 2017 from Texas Tech, he boasts an impressive resume with six Pro Bowl selections, two First Team All-Pro honors, two NFL MVP awards, and three Super Bowl victories, twice earning Super Bowl MVP accolades.
