The Marlins, on the other hand, faced their 11th loss in 12 games, their worst start since 1998. Rodón, with a record of 1-0, displayed a solid pitching performance, while Verdugo’s home run marked his first at Yankee Stadium.

A moment celebrated by his teammates with playful barking gestures. Giancarlo Stanton contributed with an RBI double, adding to the Yankees’ lead. Miami managed to score two runs in the seventh inning, ending their 16-inning scoreless streak.
