Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Chargers, has brought many coaches from Michigan with him after changing jobs earlier this year. Roman Wilson, a wide receiver who played for Harbaugh at Michigan, thinks Harbaugh will do the same thing with players for the Chargers.
Wilson was one of 18 Michigan players at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this year. He talked about the possibility of joining Harbaugh in Los Angeles during an appearance on the NFL on Fox podcast.
Wilson doesn’t know where he’ll end up, but he thinks Harbaugh will bring in several familiar faces.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if like all nine of us end up going,” Wilson said. “But seriously, like at least five or six. I think he’s going to take a lot of us.”
The Chargers let go of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams last month, so Wilson would be a good fit if they want to add a wide receiver. Wilson mentioned that the Chargers have the 37th pick in the draft and said he’d “absolutely love” to play for Harbaugh again if it works out.
