Marvin Harrison Jr., a rookie wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, will be available to play on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers after clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol. The news was confirmed by Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon on Saturday, following Harrison’s successful completion of all required evaluations.
On Friday, Harrison was a full participant in practice after being limited on Thursday, where he wore a noncontact yellow jersey. This was Arizona’s first practice of the week, and Harrison’s participation marked an important step toward his return to the field.
Gannon praised Harrison’s performance during the week, indicating that the rookie had a solid week of preparation and is now ready to compete. The coach’s assurance points to Harrison’s full recovery and the team’s confidence in his ability to contribute to the upcoming game.
Harrison sustained a concussion last Sunday during the Cardinals’ loss to the Green Bay Packers. The injury occurred in the second quarter when his head collided with linebacker Isaiah McDuffie’s thigh. After being helped off the field and evaluated, Harrison was taken to the locker room and ruled out early in the second half.
