Corey Seager continued his hitting streak, now at 13 games, with a powerful two-run home run. Nathaniel Lowe contributed three hits as the Texas Rangers stayed hot with a 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night.

Wyatt Langford also hit a home run as the Rangers collected 12 hits to extend their winning streak to four games. They had 19 hits in a game against Tampa Bay on Sunday, matching their season high.

“I think our offense has been building towards this,” Lowe said. “We’re ready to make things happen, so no one here will be surprised if we start winning a lot of games in a row or scoring many runs. That’s how we’ve been playing. We’ve been getting back to that.”

Texas was trailing 3-2 before scoring five runs in the fourth inning, with Lowe driving in a run with a single to give them the lead.

Anthony Rendon, back from the injured list with a left hamstring strain that kept him out for 68 games, had an RBI single in the seventh inning for the Angels, who have lost seven of their last eight games.

Jon Ray pitches in the 1st inning

Jon Gray, the Rangers’ right-handed pitcher, allowed three runs over five-plus innings to earn his first road win this season.

The game started with Marcus Semien hitting a single, followed by Seager’s home run that traveled 457 feet over the center-field shrubs and onto the berm.

This was Seager’s second-longest home run of his career, after a 464-foot shot he hit while playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2021.

It was also only the seventh time since MLB Statcast began in 2015 that an opposing hitter hit a home run of at least 455 feet at The Big A.
