Colombia’s Sebastian Munoz had a strong start in the LIV Golf tournament in Singapore, shooting an impressive 6-under 65 in the first round.
Close behind Munoz were six players, each with a score of 66, including Thomas Pieters, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Tringale, Abraham Ancer, Martin Kaymer, and Kevin Na.
Munoz was pleased with his performance, especially after struggling in the previous week’s round in Australia. He expressed contentment with his game’s current form.
Koepka, known for his success in warm climates, capitalized on the steamy conditions, birdying five of his first seven holes.
Brendan Steele, last week’s winner in Adelaide, trailed Munoz by three strokes with a score of 68.
Jon Rahm, although four strokes behind Munoz, has consistently performed well in LIV events, having secured top-10 finishes in all six events in 2024. The next tournament in the LIV series will take place from June 7-9 in Houston, Texas.
