The German driver retired from Formula 1 after the 2022 season ended. However, he recently had a test with Porsche in Spain. This has sparked speculation that he might return to racing, especially for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Sebastian Vettel talked about his decision-making process regarding his racing future. He participated in a long test at Motorland Aragon in Spain with the Porsche Penske Motorsport team. The team is preparing for the Le Mans 24 Hours race.

Porsche Penske has already confirmed the line-ups for two of its cars, but there are still two spots available in the third car. Vettel is considering whether to join Porsche for the Le Mans race.

During a press call for Perple, a nutritional sports drink he’s invested in, Vettel explained his reasons for the test. He enjoyed the experience and had fun, but he hasn’t made a decision yet about his racing future.

Vettel drove a total of 581 kilometers at Motorland Aragon, his first major motorsport activity since leaving Formula 1. He seemed to enjoy the experience, despite having to adjust to driving a hypercar.

Porsche is expected to announce the driver line-up for their third car soon, and Vettel’s test might influence their decision.

Vettel mentioned that he’s curious about other motorsport disciplines, which is why he wanted to try driving the Porsche hypercar. He enjoyed the test drive and appreciated the support from the Porsche works drivers.

Having been a star in single-seater racing, Vettel found the experience of driving a car with a roof over his head different. He had to adjust to the weight of the car and the tires, but the Porsche works drivers helped him adapt to the new challenges.
