The Arizona Bowl is set to undergo a major transformation as Snoop Dogg and his beverage company, Gin & Juice, step in as the presenting sponsors, renaming the event to the “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop.” This move marks a departure from traditional sponsorships for the bowl, with executive director Kym Adair emphasizing a willingness to innovate and embrace new opportunities.

Since its inception in 2015, the Arizona Bowl has hosted matchups between teams from the Mountain West Conference and the MAC, previously sponsored by Barstool Sports. Snoop Dogg’s involvement is expected to bring fresh energy to the event, with plans for his participation in the broadcast and musical performances surrounding the game.

The collaboration extends beyond the bowl game itself, with potential tie-ins such as featuring a Chevy Impala, a nod to Snoop Dogg’s iconic song “Gin and Juice.” Additionally, youth teams from California and Arizona will face off in the “Snooper Bowl,” adding another layer of excitement to the festivities.

Snoop Dogg’s passion for football, particularly in youth development, aligns with his involvement in the Arizona Bowl. As the founder of the Snoop Youth Football League, he has made significant contributions to the sport and sees this partnership as an opportunity to enhance the college football experience.

While specific details about additional modifications to the Arizona Bowl remain unclear, recent years have seen non-College Football Playoff bowls embracing creativity to attract attention.

Examples include the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, where the winning coach is doused in mayonnaise, and the Pop-Tarts Bowl, featuring an edible Pop-Tart mascot. Spike, the current mascot of the Arizona Bowl, adds to the unique charm of the event.

With the 2024 Arizona Bowl scheduled for December 28th, anticipation is building for what promises to be a memorable and innovative game day experience, combining the excitement of college football with the creativity and influence of Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice.
