Stephen Curry scored 33 points as the Golden State Warriors managed to hold off the shorthanded San Antonio Spurs 117-113 on Sunday night, securing their fourth consecutive win.

With his family in attendance for Easter, Curry played a crucial role in overcoming a sluggish start, helping the Warriors finish their road trip with a 4-1 record.

“Steph was motivated to perform well in front of his family,” remarked Warriors coach Steve Kerr. “He played an outstanding game under pressure. Tre Jones did a commendable job defending him, but Steph found ways to get open and make important shots.”

Curry shot 12 for 23 from the field, including 7 of 15 from beyond the arc, as the Warriors maintain their hold on the final play-in spot in the Western Conference, staying two games ahead of Houston after the Rockets’ loss to Dallas.

Spurs’ center Victor Wembanyama put up an impressive performance with 32 points and nine rebounds. “He’s an incredibly special talent,” praised Warriors forward Draymond Green.

“Facing him tonight, I realize the challenge he’ll pose for future players. I’m glad I had the chance to play against him now before I retire.”

Wembanyama’s over-the-back foul denied him his 10th rebound, and Green’s free throw in the final seconds secured the win for Golden State.

“Draymond was outstanding tonight,” Kerr commended. “His defensive prowess was on full display. His offensive rebound at the end was a critical play. Draymond’s defensive intelligence was evident throughout the game.”

Green ended the night with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite missing key players due to injuries, San Antonio’s bench stepped up in the first half. Cedi Osman, Zach Collins, and Sandro Mamukelashvili combined for 34 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists. Osman led with 18 points, Collins contributed 13, and Mamukelashvili finished with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.
