Stilez Robertson, a Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider, has shared positive news after enduring a wrist injury in late 2023. This injury led him to miss the entire Monster Energy AMA Supercross season and the first half of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
Robertson’s last professional race was the 2023 Ironman National finale, where he secured a tenth overall position by finishing 12-11. His return to riding marks a significant milestone in his recovery journey.
Robertson began his professional career with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team in 2020 before transitioning to the factory Yamaha 250 team in 2023. During his tenure with Star Yamaha, he achieved a podium finish at the ’23 Anaheim 2 SX Triple Crown.
Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a broken leg sustained in April, which sidelined him until the final three rounds of the Pro Motocross series. Robertson made eight starts last year with Star Racing.
Recently, Robertson resumed riding a turn track, though there is still no set date for his return to competitive racing. His comeback to the bike follows over 230 days of dealing with his wrist injury, which necessitated five surgeries. This period was challenging, but Robertson’s determination and support system helped him navigate the difficulties.
In a heartfelt post, Robertson expressed his relief and joy at being back on his dirt bike after such a prolonged and arduous recovery process. He recounted the tough times and setbacks he faced, including complications that required multiple surgeries. Despite these challenges, he expressed immense gratitude towards Dr. Viola and his team for their exceptional care and support.
Robertson’s return to riding has reignited his passion for the sport, likening his excitement to a child’s joy on Christmas morning. His perseverance through a difficult recovery process and the unwavering support from his team and loved ones have been pivotal in reaching this point. Although his racing future remains uncertain, his recent progress is a promising sign of his resilience and dedication.
