Wide receiver Tank Dell was recently spotted in a photo showcasing the Texans’ new uniforms, shared by team chairman Cal McNair on Monday. This sighting suggests that Dell is making significant strides in his recovery and is well on his way to returning to the field.
Dell enjoyed a promising start to his rookie season in Houston until a broken leg cut his campaign short. However, in an interview with the team’s website, Dell expressed optimism about his progress toward making a full recovery.
“It’s been going great,” Dell remarked. “I’ve been hitting the road full speed. Great recovery. . . . I’m giving all the props to our training staff and our strength staff.
They’ve been getting me on the right road and I feel like I’m back and ready. I’m waiting for the lights to shine again and just to go out there as a team and go complete the mission.”
With fellow receivers Nico Collins, Noah Brown, John Metchie, and Robert Woods also returning for the Texans, the continuity in the receiving corps, coupled with Dell’s resurgence, bodes well for the team’s passing game heading into the upcoming season.
