Teenage sprinter Gout has been making waves in the athletics world, setting multiple records at the All Schools Queensland Championship in Australia. His standout performance came in the 200m, where he broke the event record previously set by Usain Bolt, who was just 15 years old when he set the record in 2002. Gout not only won both the 100m and 200m events but also posted the fastest time for an Australian sprinter in 31 years. His 200m heat time of 20.29 seconds was the quickest by an Australian since 1993, and it also set a new record for Queensland.

In the 200m final, Gout continued to impress by claiming victory with a time of 20.52 seconds. His outstanding performances have earned him recognition as the fourth fastest under-18 sprinter in the history of the 200m. Additionally, his time is rapidly bringing him closer to the Australian national record of 20.06 seconds, which was set by Peter Norman in 1968. Gout has now etched his name in the record books, holding both the under-18 and under-20 200m records for Australia and Oceania.

These achievements are just the latest in a series of milestones in Gout’s impressive athletic career. Earlier this year, he claimed a silver medal at the under-20 World Championships in Peru, finishing just 0.08 seconds behind South Africa’s Bayanda Walaza. This performance further solidified his position as one of the most promising young sprinters in the world. His continued success on the track has caught the attention of major sponsors, leading to a recent sponsorship deal with Adidas.

Despite the mounting attention and comparisons to legends like Usain Bolt, Gout’s manager, James Templeton, has tried to downplay such comparisons. He emphasized the importance of letting Gout remain focused on his development as a normal teenager, away from excessive media scrutiny. Templeton has consistently rejected media requests for comparisons to Bolt, aiming to shield Gout from distractions and allow him to live as normally as possible for as long as he can.

However, the modern age of viral content has made it increasingly difficult for Gout to stay out of the spotlight. Despite the manager’s efforts, videos of his performances have gone viral, making Gout a well-known figure in the athletics world. While the future looks incredibly bright for the young sprinter, Templeton remains focused on guiding Gout’s career with care, ensuring that he continues to develop his talent while maintaining a balance in his personal life.
