Tennessee coach Brian Callahan said Thursday that Titans cornerback Caleb Farley will be out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury.
The No. 22 pick in the 2021 draft left practice early over the weekend after feeling tightness in his hamstring. Farley also left Wednesday’s practice after one-on-one drills and did not return to the field on Thursday.
This is another setback for Farley, who has played only 12 games with two starts in his three seasons with the Titans.
Farley tore an ACL during his rookie season after missing the 2020 college season at Virginia Tech due to the pandemic.
He missed the entire 2023 season after undergoing back surgery, which was his third back surgery since college.
His father was killed last August in a gas explosion at Farley’s home in North Carolina.
The Titans will open the preseason Saturday night against San Francisco, and Callahan will make his coaching debut with several players injured.
Callahan mentioned that most starters will play Saturday night, but two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and outside linebacker Harold Landry will not.
