The Coyotes have brought up forward Josh Doan, who is the son of former longtime Arizona captain Shane Doan.
The 22-year-old, who hails from Scottsdale, was called up from the Tucson Roadrunners on Monday and is set to make his NHL debut against Columbus on Tuesday.
Growing up in the Phoenix area, Josh’s father spent 21 seasons with the Coyotes, most of them as captain. Shane Doan is currently working as a special advisor to Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving.
Josh Doan is the top scorer for Tucson, with 26 goals and 20 assists in 62 games. He was drafted by the Coyotes with the 37th pick in the 2021 NHL draft from Arizona State University. Additionally, he played 98 games in the USHL.
