The Bills made two new signings for their defensive line on Thursday. One of the signings was already known, as defensive tackle Austin Johnson’s deal had been reported earlier.
However, the addition of defensive tackle DeShawn Williams was new information. Both players have agreed to one-year contracts with the team.
Last season, Williams played 16 games for the Panthers and recorded 33 tackles, one sack, and defended one pass. Before joining the Panthers, he spent three seasons with the Broncos, where he made 113 tackles, 7.5 sacks, defended eight passes, and had one interception.
In Buffalo, Daquan Jones and Ed Oliver are the primary returning defensive tackles. The addition of Johnson and Williams will add more depth to the defensive line for the upcoming season.
