Leon Draisaitl made a comeback from injury and boosted the Edmonton Oilers. Sam Bennett also returned and made an impact for the Florida Panthers.

Now, the Bruins are hopeful that Brad Marchand can do the same.

Bennett, who got injured in Game 2 against Tampa Bay, came back on Friday and played a significant role in the Panthers’ 6-2 win over the Bruins, evening their series at one apiece. However, one of his hits on Marchand raised concerns as it left Marchand in discomfort.

The collision caught attention, with Bruins coach Jim Montgomery expressing his concerns about the hit. However, Panthers coach Paul Maurice saw it differently, describing it as just a collision.

Bennett wasn’t penalized for the hit, but Marchand didn’t return for the third period. He skipped practice on Saturday, and his status for future games remains uncertain.

“It’s tough to see someone get injured, especially someone so crucial to our team,” remarked Bruins forward Charlie Coyle. “But it’s also a chance for others to step up and contribute.”
