The Browns are adding a player who specializes in special teams to their team. Ian Rapoport from NFL Media says that the team is going to sign Justin Hardee, who previously played for the Jets. The details of his contract haven’t been made public yet.
Hardee spent the last three seasons with the Jets and was even named a Pro Bowler after the 2022 season.
During his time with the Jets, he made 31 tackles and forced a fumble, although he mainly played on special teams.
Before his time with the Jets, Hardee played for the Saints for four years. While he saw some action on defense in New Orleans and even had an interception return, his primary focus has always been on special teams, which will likely continue with his new team, the Browns.
