Veteran wide receiver Damiere Byrd tried out for the Bills on Monday, and he will be joining the team. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Byrd is set to sign a contract with the Bills. The team is also adding quarterback Ben DiNucci to the 90-man roster.
Byrd played one game with the Falcons last season and had 13 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.
He has previously played for the Bears, Patriots, Cardinals, and Panthers since starting his NFL career in 2016.
With Bryan Thompson suffering a hamstring injury during the preseason opener and Chase Claypool missing recent practices, Byrd provides the Bills with an experienced and healthy player for practice.
