Cornerback Kristian Fulton, who spent four seasons with the Tennessee Titans after being drafted in the second round in 2020, has reportedly agreed to a free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. This marks the end of his time in Nashville and offers him a fresh start with a new team.
During his time with the Titans, Fulton started 37 games out of 42 and made four interceptions with 25 pass breakups. However, injuries were a significant issue for him, as he never played more than 13 games in a season and struggled with hamstring injuries over the past two years.
Despite a strong 2021 season where he made two interceptions and 14 pass breakups, Fulton faced challenges in 2022 and 2023 due to hamstring issues and a drop in performance.
With Fulton’s departure, none of the players from the Titans’ 2020 draft class remain on the roster. This includes first-round pick Isaiah Wilson, third-round pick Darrynton Evans, fifth-round pick Larrell Murchison, seventh-round pick Chris Jackson, and seventh-round pick Cole McDonald.
In the 2023 season, Fulton allowed a passer rating of 129.3 when targeted, giving up three touchdowns and 37 completions on 51 targets. He also allowed more yards and yards per reception than in any other season while committing a career-high six penalties in just 11 games.
