Former Patriots defensive lineman Lawrence Guy is joining the Cincinnati Bengals.
Guy had a workout with the Bengals on Tuesday, and according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, he will be signing with the AFC North team. Albert Huggins also had a workout with the team.
Guy played for the New England Patriots for the past seven seasons and has also been with the Ravens, Chargers, and Colts since starting his NFL career in 2012.
Last season, he recorded 38 tackles for the Patriots and has accumulated 507 tackles, 17 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries in his career.
B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins both suffered hamstring injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs, and Kris Jenkins is recovering from thumb surgery. The team needed an additional healthy player as they head into Week Three.
