Philadelphia Eagles’ edge rusher Haason Reddick was slated to receive a $1 million roster bonus by March 15, but as of now, the payment remains outstanding.

In a strategic move, the deadline for the bonus payment has been extended to April 1. This extension allows the Eagles additional time to explore potential trade options for Reddick before committing to the payment. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported this development.

The postponement of the deadline suggests Reddick’s willingness to entertain the possibility of a trade.

While multiple teams have expressed interest in acquiring him, the key question revolves around whether they are prepared to take on his current contract.

As it stands, acquiring Reddick would entail a hefty cap hit of over $15 million for the acquiring team. Despite the financial implications, Reddick’s on-field performance underscores his value as a player. Having started every game last season and earning a Pro Bowl nod, Reddick boasts an impressive track record of recording double-digit sacks for four consecutive seasons.

Hence, his potential acquisition could significantly bolster any defense, provided the terms are favorable for all parties involved.
