Maybe they could rename the classic KISS song to Detroit Draft City.

According to the Detroit News, the NFL announced an official attendance of 275,000 for last night’s event. However, police estimated that around 400,000 people were present.

This highlights the immense impact of taking the draft to different cities, which initially occurred in 2015 due to a scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall. The move to Chicago was successful, leading to the draft becoming a traveling spectacle.

The official attendance figure surpasses the previous single-day record set in Nashville, which was 200,000. This indicates that the draft will continue as a popular event that visits various NFL cities.

As the night progressed, the crowd noticeably thinned, possibly due to the cold weather. It remains to be seen how many fans will attend tonight and tomorrow, as the excitement of the opening night wanes.
