Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s status for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts has been changed to doubtful as he recovers from a knee injury.
Previously, Love was listed as questionable on the injury report released on Friday. The Packers updated his status to doubtful on Saturday.
The Packers have also promoted quarterback Sean Clifford from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game. Clifford, a fifth-round pick from Penn State in 2023, is expected to serve as the backup to Malik Willis.
Love hurt his left medial collateral ligament during the third-to-last play of the Packers’ season-opening 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on September 6 in Brazil. He has not practiced this week.
Willis seems set to start for the Packers less than three weeks after joining the team. The Packers traded a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Tennessee Titans for Willis in a deal announced on August 27.
Willis, a third-round pick from Liberty in 2022, made three starts during his rookie season. The Titans had a 1-2 record in those games, and Willis did not pass for 100 yards in any of them.
