The Jaguars made a double signing to start the week on a strong note.
They officially confirmed their agreement with kicker Joey Slye, as previously reported, and also sealed a deal with linebacker Trevis Gipson. However, the terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Gipson joined the Titans last August and participated in eight regular-season games, contributing six tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble during his time with the team.
Originally drafted by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Gipson started 19 games out of 40 appearances in Chicago. His tenure with the NFC North franchise saw him tally 75 tackles, 10 sacks, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
