The Dodgers won 7-6 against the Yankees in Game 5, securing their eighth World Series title and their second in five years. The game drew an average of 18.6 million viewers across Fox, Fox Deportes, and streaming platforms, according to Nielsen.

This was the most-watched game in the World Series since Game 7 in 2019, when the Washington Nationals beat the Houston Astros, averaging 23.22 million viewers.

The series as a whole averaged 15.81 million viewers, the highest since 2017, when the Houston Astros won against the Dodgers in seven games, averaging 18.93 million viewers.

This is a significant increase compared to last year, when the Texas Rangers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games, averaging a record-low 9.11 million viewers.

On Wednesday, the audience peaked at 21.27 million between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m. EDT.

In Los Angeles, the game had a 21.1 rating and a 55 share, while in New York, it had a 14.8 rating and a 39 share.

The rating shows the percentage of TV households watching, and the share indicates the percentage of the audience watching at that time.
