Where there’s smoke, there might be fire when it comes to the rumors about Davante Adams being traded.
According to Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders have started contacting other teams to see if they are interested in trading for Davante Adams, indicating that Las Vegas is considering the possibility of moving the veteran wide receiver.
Adams, who is 31 years old, has been with the Raiders since being traded to the team during the 2022 offseason. He led the league with 14 touchdowns in 2022 and caught 103 passes for 1,144 yards with eight touchdowns in 2023.
Adams missed the Week 4 victory against the Browns due to a hamstring injury. So far in 2024, he has 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown.
In an interview on Up & Adams earlier on Tuesday, the receiver responded to the trade rumors by saying, “[A]ll I can control is the next thing that I’m on to.”
This was after he mentioned that he hadn’t heard from Antonio Pierce after the head coach’s Instagram account seemed to like a post suggesting that Adams could be traded before he plays again.
