Running back Gus Edwards was activated from injured reserve by the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
Edwards had missed four games because of an ankle injury, but he returned to practice this week. He fully participated in practice on Friday and could be active for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
Edwards is in his sixth season in the NFL and his first with the Chargers. He has gained 113 yards on 38 carries, averaging 3.0 yards per carry.
The Chargers (5-3), who have won two games in a row and three of their last four, have also promoted cornerback Eli Apple and linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
