The Los Angeles Rams have activated starting offensive linemen Jonah Jackson and Steve Avila from injured reserve.
The Rams (4-4) made the roster moves ahead of their Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins (2-6).
Avila hurt his knee in the Rams’ season opener, while Jackson injured his shoulder in Week 2. Both players were placed on injured reserve but returned to practice last week.
Avila started the season as the Rams’ left guard. The 2023 second-round draft pick played every snap in his rookie season at guard.
Jackson joined the Rams in the offseason on a three-year, $51 million deal after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions. He was the starting center for the Rams before getting injured.
Last week, Rams coach Sean McVay didn’t specify where Avila and Jackson would play when they returned. Avila began training camp as the Rams’ center, while Jackson started as a guard before the team switched their positions for the regular season.
The Rams will play the Dolphins without starting right tackle Rob Havenstein, who hurt his ankle last week in Seattle. Backup swing tackle Joe Noteboom, who also just returned from injury, or Warren McClendon could fill in for Havenstein.
