The Los Angeles Rams have traded cornerback Tre’Davious White to the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source familiar with the trade who spoke to The Associated Press.
The source requested anonymity on Tuesday because the deal was still being finalized. In the trade, the Rams receive a seventh-round pick in 2026 and send a seventh-round pick in 2027 to the Ravens.
White is a two-time Pro Bowl selection, but his time with the Rams was disappointing. Los Angeles signed him to a one-year, $4.25 million contract after he spent seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
White played poorly in four games for the Rams in September, and after that, coach Sean McVay made him inactive for the next four games.
This move came when fellow new cornerback Darious Williams returned from injured reserve. White fell behind several other cornerbacks on the Rams’ depth chart, including starter Cobie Durant, veteran Ahkello Witherspoon, and even undrafted rookie Josh Wallace.
White has not played since September 29 for the Rams (4-4). McVay praised White’s professionalism and mentioned that the Rams did not expect to use him as much as they did in the first month of the season.
White suffered a knee ligament tear in late 2021 while with the Bills, and he tore his Achilles tendon last season. Over the past four years, he has only played in 25 games.
Now with the Ravens, White will have a chance to help their defense, which ranks last in the NFL for pass defense.
