Details: Kim, a South Korean All-Star second baseman, becomes the latest signing by the World Series champions during their offseason spending. Kim, who turns 26 on Jan. 27, has played eight seasons in South Korea, with the last six spent with the Kiwoom Heroes in Seoul. He posted career-highs with a .326 batting average, 11 home runs, 75 RBIs, and 30 stolen bases.
Charlie Morton, RHP

Contract: One year, $15 million
Details: Morton will pitch his 18th season in the majors. The 41-year-old spent the last four years with the Atlanta Braves, finishing the season with an 8-10 record, 4.19 ERA, and 167 strikeouts in 2024.

Details: The Diamondbacks sign Burnes to the biggest contract in franchise history to strengthen their rotation. Burnes, who spent the 2024 season with the Baltimore Orioles, had a 2.92 ERA and struck out 181 batters in 194.1 innings. He finished fifth in AL Cy Young voting and made his fourth All-Star Game appearance.
Teoscar Hernandez, OF
Team: Los Angeles Dodgers
Contract: Three years, $66 million with a $15 million fourth-year option
Details: After helping the Dodgers win a World Series, Hernandez stays with the team. The 32-year-old had a career year in 2024, hitting 33 home runs, 32 doubles, driving in 99 runs, and posting an .840 OPS.
Gleyber Torres, 2B
Team: Detroit Tigers
Contract: One year, $15 million
Details: Torres joins the Tigers after spending seven seasons with the Yankees. The 28-year-old posted a .709 OPS with 15 home runs in 2024 and will aim to regain the form that saw him hit 20 or more home runs in four of his first five full seasons.

Details: The Red Sox strengthen their rotation with Buehler, a former ace. He spent seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers and is a two-time All-Star (2019 and 2021) and a two-time World Series champion.
Joc Pederson, OF
Team: Texas Rangers
Contract: Two years, $37 million
Details: Pederson is now a platoon player but will add power from the left side to the Rangers’ lineup. He hit .275/.393/.515 with 23 home runs and 64 RBIs with the Diamondbacks in 2024.
Sean Manaea, SP

Contract: Three years, $75 million
Details: Manaea, a 32-year-old left-hander, is coming off one of the best seasons of his career. He threw 181.2 innings in 2024 with a 3.47 ERA, 184 strikeouts, and a 1.08 WHIP while limiting opponents to a .201 batting average.
Joe Ross, RP
Team: Philadelphia Phillies
Contract: One year, $4 million
Details: Ross, 31, made 10 starts and 25 appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2024. He went 3-6 with a 3.77 ERA.

Details: Santana and the Guardians have agreed to a one-year deal, reuniting after Santana spent 10 seasons with Cleveland. He is coming off a 23-home run season and a Gold Glove award with the Twins in 2024.
Paul Goldschmidt, 1B

Contract: One year, $12.5 million
Details: The Yankees continue to add players with a one-year deal for former NL MVP Goldschmidt. The 36-year-old batted a career-low .245 with 22 home runs and 65 RBIs last season.

Details: After spending eight seasons with the Diamondbacks, Walker will now play first base for the Astros. The 33-year-old brings three Gold Gloves and 146 home runs to the team. He will join other infielders like Isaac Paredes in Houston’s revamped lineup.

Michael Soroka, RHP

Details: Soroka, 26, moves to Washington after one season with the White Sox. He spent four years with the Atlanta Braves, where he finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting and made an All-Star appearance. He has dealt with Achilles tendon injuries but showed good form in relief for the White Sox, posting a 2.75 ERA.

Yimi Garcia, RP

Shane Bieber, RHP

Contract: One year, $14 million with a $16 million player option for 2026
Details: Bieber, the 2020 AL Cy Young winner, stays with the Guardians on a one-year deal. He spent his entire career in Cleveland, and after not allowing any runs in two starts in 2024, he missed the rest of the season due to Tommy John surgery.

Details: Gilbreath made his return to the major leagues on Aug. 16 after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He made three relief appearances before being placed on the injured list with shoulder inflammation.

Details: Thaiss batted .204 with two home runs and 16 RBIs in 57 games with the Los Angeles Angels last season. The Cubs acquired him on Nov. 14 after the Angels designated him for assignment.
