The New York Giants have extended linebacker Isaiah Simmons’ contract and signed free agent running back Dante Miller.
The Giants announced on Friday, stating that both agreements are subject to physical examinations.
Simmons joined the Giants from Arizona through a trade before last season. He started four out of 17 games and recorded 50 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and an interception that he ran back for a 54-yard touchdown in November against Washington.
Originally drafted eighth by Arizona in 2020, Simmons has never missed a game, playing in 67 regular-season games with 41 starts.
Miller last played in 2022 at the University of South Carolina as a graduate transfer walk-on from Columbia University. He appeared in the first six games of the season for the Gamecocks, carrying the ball six times for 38 yards.
Before South Carolina, he received All-Ivy honors at Columbia. From 2018 to 2021, he rushed for 1,281 yards on 258 carries with six touchdowns, including a career-long run of 83 yards, which is the sixth-longest in school history.
