Artemi Panarin redirected a pass with a skillful move at the crease, scoring just 1:43 into overtime to secure a 3-2 victory for the New York Rangers against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night. This win gives the Rangers a 3-0 lead in the second-round playoff series.

Panarin’s goal came after a defensive error by Carolina’s Dmitry Orlov in the corner of the defensive zone. Vincent Trocheck picked up the loose puck on the right side and sent it towards the crease where Panarin was positioned.

Despite pressure from defenseman Jalen Chatfield, Panarin managed to tip the puck past the Hurricanes’ goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov.

The goal sparked celebrations among the Rangers players, with Panarin leading the way as they gathered near the tunnel off the ice. With this win, the Rangers have a chance to sweep the series in Game 4 on Saturday night.
