Vladimir Tarasenko and Carter Verhaeghe scored while the Bruins were on a double-minor penalty. Sergei Bobrovsky made 14 saves as the Florida Panthers defeated Boston 6-2 on Friday night, taking a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Evan Rodrigues scored twice, and Brandon Montour also scored for the Panthers, who have won two consecutive games after losing the series opener at home.

After winning 6-1 on Wednesday, Florida scored 10 consecutive goals before Jakub Lauko scored to make it 4-1 early in the third period. Jake DeBrusk added another goal for Boston with 11:31 left, making it a two-goal game.

However, the Bruins, who played the final 20 minutes without their captain and second-highest scorer Brad Marchand, couldn’t narrow the gap. Sam Reinhart scored an empty-net goal with 1:24 remaining, and Rodrigues scored his second goal of the game — Florida’s fourth power-play goal — in the final minute.

Now, the Bruins must win at home on Sunday night to avoid trailing 3-1 before heading back to Florida for Game 5.
