During Nashville’s current points streak, various stars have consistently stepped up to lead the Predators to victory. This time, it was Roman Josi. Once again.

“It’s the reason, in my opinion, why he’s the world’s best defenseman,” praised Nashville coach Andrew Brunette. “He just does stuff like he did today and takes over games.”

Josi ignited the Predators’ offense with two goals within the first 10 minutes of the third period, while Filip Forsberg sealed the win with an empty-netter with 1:20 remaining. Their efforts propelled Nashville to a 4-1 triumph over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night, extending their points streak to 14 games.

This streak ties for the second-longest in franchise history, matching a 14-game run from the 2015-16 season. Nashville’s dominance during this stretch, going 12-0-2, has solidified their position in the top wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

“The points streak is awesome because you need the points, but just the way we’ve been playing, it’s a lot of fun,” Josi remarked. “I feel like every night we’re working hard, we’re playing fast, and it’s like every guy.”

Josi’s first goal, a power-play marker just 9 seconds into the man advantage, broke a 1-1 tie early in the third period. His second goal, a blistering slap shot from the blue line, further extended Nashville’s lead and secured the victory.

Tommy Novak also contributed to the scoring, netting his 14th goal of the season in the first period off an opportune bounce. Despite solid goaltending from Philipp Grubauer, who made 26 saves for Seattle, the Kraken couldn’t muster enough offense to overcome the Predators’ defensive prowess.

Seattle’s struggles continued with their fourth consecutive home loss, effectively diminishing their hopes of securing a wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

Nashville goaltender Juuse Saros showcased his skill with 22 saves, denying Seattle’s scoring opportunities and preserving the Predators’ lead throughout the game.

Seattle faced challenges of their own, missing key players like top defenseman Vince Dunn and forward Jaden Schwartz due to upper-body injuries, further complicating their quest for victory.
