The Las Vegas Raiders team is looking forward to their second win on Sunday. The game is against the Chargers at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. This electrifying clash between these two teams depicts the Raider’s road to victory with the help of Tyree Wilson. The team selected the rusher with the No.7 pick in the NFL Draft.

Wilson’s college career started at Texas A&M University in 2018. As a redshirt freshman, his total is 12 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks during 12 games. Then, in 2020, he got transferred to Texas Tech, where he had an immediate effect by appearing in 9 games with five starts as a defender. He ended the season with 11 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Wilson finished his senior season with the Red Raiders as the nation’s first pass rusher. Being a defender, he has a record of 61 tackles and 14 for loss, seven sacks also, before missing the senior season due to injury. Tyree Wilson had a slow start in his career. But will it lead to break out against the Los Angeles Chargers?

Overview of the Raiders Team

The Raiders team needs to win matches for their survival in the season. So, the defensive players will feel the pressure. One of the players, Maxx Crosby, begins his typical start that includes offensive tackles to get into the field. But he needs help. That help for the Raiders team in NFL 2023 is Tyree Wilson, as Maxx is recovering from his foot injury.

From the beginning, kickoff intensity in the game increased. The Chargers team has a strong offense led by Justin Herbert. On the other side, the Raiders team has their own amazing defense. Raiders are determined to win the match and solidify the playoff aspirations.

The first quarter of the game depicts Wilson’s dominance as the Chargers team attempts to establish the aerial assault. Wilson depicts the ability to read the play and participate in the quarterback movements. There was a sack in Herbert’s play.  Raider’s defense has enough amount of energy.

About Wilson’s Struggle

Wilson has been struggling to score on the field. He has created quarterbacks in a hurry with no hits and sacks. He has a low PFF grade this season, which is 36.2. Due to a decrease in rushing moves and the ability to win at the time of attack without dependence on size and athleticism. His physical ability led to the explosive play. No positive effect was there on the play.

The offensive players know about handling the players with a certain size and strength. There are no rushed passed moves, and players become ineffective. This is the main problem with Wilson. He has been shown as a raw pass rusher who needs time to improve.

The Raiders team is taking on the Chargers in the game on Sunday. It is a good chance for Wilson to try for a breakout. The offensive play will be a challenge for him as Wilson continues to improve his play as a pass rusher. The Raiders are also looking for more progress in Wilson as the season goes on.
