In anticipation of the much-awaited WrestleMania 40 press conference in Las Vegas, WWE icon The Rock has directed some pointed remarks toward a segment of Cody Rhodes’ fanbase.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, The Rock expressed his admiration for Rhodes and his devoted supporters, yet singled out a faction he termed “Cody crybabies.”

Addressing these fans, The Rock urged them to “sit back, know your role, shut your mouth, and enjoy the ride” as he gears up to take them on. He emphasized his intent with hashtags like ‘Shut your b—h asses up’ and ‘Cody crybabies.’

Rhodes, who faced defeat against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 due to interference, has been vocal about his determination to reclaim the championship. His recent Royal Rumble victory fueled speculation of a rematch with Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

However, Rhodes surprised many by announcing on SmackDown that he would not challenge Reigns, citing advice from wrestling legends including The Rock. This decision sparked anticipation of a showdown between Reigns and The Rock, with Rhodes possibly facing Seth Rollins instead.

Despite the absence of an official announcement, Rhodes’ Instagram post hints at a decision awaiting revelation at the press conference.

While the focus seems to be on Reigns versus The Rock, questions linger regarding Rhodes’ involvement. Will he turn the anticipated clash into a Triple Threat or perhaps engage in separate matches with Reigns and The Rock? All eyes are on Thursday’s event for answers.
