The Seattle Mariners have reached an agreement to sign Dallas Keuchel, the 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner, to a minor league contract.
Keuchel, a left-handed pitcher, is expected to join Triple-A Tacoma’s roster by the upcoming weekend.
Last season, Keuchel made appearances in 10 games for the Minnesota Twins, starting six of them. He finished with a record of 2-1 and an ERA of 5.97.
Before his time with the Twins, Keuchel played for several other teams including the Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, and the Atlanta Braves.
The 36-year-old veteran experienced the pinnacle of his career during his seven-year tenure with the Houston Astros. During this time, he achieved significant milestones, including winning the World Series in 2017 and being selected as an All-Star twice (2015, 2017).
