Former Seattle defensive backs Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams were very vocal during Thursday’s practice.
Current Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon made a standout play by intercepting Will Levis as the Titans began a two-minute drill.
He celebrated his second interception of the day by running over to give the ball to Adams, who now plays for the Titans. Witherspoon then ran toward the end zone, waving at the Titans.
Diggs, who was impressed by Witherspoon’s performance, praised his former teammate, saying Witherspoon has the potential to be one of the NFL’s best because of his energy and intelligence.
Diggs appreciated the competitive spirit of the practice, while Titans coach Brian Callahan expressed frustration with his team’s performance, particularly in the final drill.
He pointed out that Tennessee’s offense was missing key receivers, DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and Tyler Boyd (bruised foot), which affected their execution.
The Seahawks and Titans ended their joint practices with high emotions. Titans GM Ran Carthon had to step in to separate the Tennessee offensive line after a tense moment involving Seahawks defensive end Leonard Williams and rookie left tackle JC Latham.
Witherspoon, who had struggled a bit the day before, was pleased to end the practice with a significant play, reflecting the competitive nature of the sessions.
