Martavis Bryant is getting another chance at a comeback. The Commanders announced on Tuesday that they have signed Bryant.
After serving a long suspension for breaching the league’s drug policy, Bryant was reinstated last November and joined the Dallas practice squad. He didn’t play in any games but signed a futures deal with the team before being released in May.
Dan Quinn, the Commanders’ head coach, worked with Bryant last season when he was Dallas’ defensive coordinator.
Bryant, a fourth-round pick by the Steelers in 2014, has 145 career catches for 2,183 yards and 17 touchdowns. His last NFL action was with the Raiders in 2018, where he caught 19 passes for 266 yards in eight games.
In a related move, the Commanders released kicker Ramiz Ahmed.
