The Los Angeles Rams are going to have their upcoming training camp at Loyola Marymount University.

This decision was announced by the Rams on Tuesday. Previously, since returning to Southern California in 2016, the team held its camps at UC Irvine.

Loyola Marymount is a private university located in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles. Starting in late July, the Rams will stay in LMU’s residence halls while using the school’s athletic facilities for training.

Under coach Sean McVay, the Rams have conducted every training camp in Orange County, which is quite far from their main training bases. Later this year, the Rams are expected to shift from Thousand Oaks to a new training complex in Woodland Hills.

For now, the team’s offseason program continues to take place at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, where they’ve been practicing on weekdays since their return to LA.

In the future, the Rams plan to construct a permanent complex in Woodland Hills, but until then, they’ll be using temporary facilities at the new site.

This summer, five NFL teams will be holding their training camps in Southern California. The Chargers will be at their new training complex in El Segundo after seven years in Costa Mesa.

The Dallas Cowboys will be training in Ventura County. The New Orleans Saints will be at UC Irvine, the Rams’ former training home. Lastly, the Las Vegas Raiders will be training in Costa Mesa, the former camp location of the Chargers.
