Tiger Woods finished his first round at the Masters on Friday morning, following a weather delay. He fell further behind leader Bryson DeChambeau and now aims to secure a spot in the next round for the 24th consecutive time.

On Thursday, Woods managed to play 13 holes at 1 under before the game paused due to darkness. However, he faced a setback with a bogey on the 14th hole, where an inaccurate wedge shot led to a missed par putt.

Despite this, he recovered with three consecutive pars. Yet, he ended the round with another bogey at the 18th hole, finishing with a score of 1-over 73.

After completing the round, Woods had about 40 minutes to prepare his body for the next 18 holes in the second round. He trails DeChambeau by eight strokes, who had an impressive score of 65 on Thursday.

Woods is striving to create more history at Augusta National by securing a spot in the weekend rounds. He currently shares the record for most consecutive cuts made with Gary Player and Fred Couples.

However, his ambitions extend beyond merely cutting, as he aims to join Jack Nicklaus as the only player to win six green jackets, despite facing numerous challenges due to injuries and a recent car accident.
