Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson will play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks despite a lawsuit filed against him on Thursday. The lawsuit alleges that Jackson recorded a woman without her consent during sex, refused to delete the video, and taunted her with it.
NFL Investigates Allegations, Suspends Jackson, Player Declines Comment, Avoiding Team Distraction
The woman involved reportedly reported the incident to the NFL, which investigated Jackson and imposed a two-game suspension in 2024. The suspension was issued after the NFL determined that Jackson had violated the league’s personal conduct policy.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Jackson acknowledged the lawsuit but declined to comment in detail, stating, “it’s a court case” and that he “can’t really say anything about it right now.” He also mentioned that he has not discussed the lawsuit with his teammates and does not anticipate it becoming a distraction for the team.
Rams Aware of Allegations, No Further Discipline, Contract Matters Handled Privately
Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed that the team is aware of the allegations but emphasized keeping legal matters internal. McVay stated, “This isn’t something that we weren’t aware of, and [there’s been] very clear communication and understanding of it,” and clarified that there will be no further team-imposed discipline for Jackson at this time.
In February, Jackson signed a three-year, $57 million contract extension with the Rams. When asked if the allegations had been considered during contract negotiations, McVay declined to comment, reiterating the desire to handle such matters privately. Jackson’s status for the upcoming game remains unchanged.
