Pastrnak’s Overtime Goal Seals Bruins’ Comeback Win Over Flames After Overcoming Two-Goal Deficit

The Boston Bruins faced adversity early in the second period of their game against the Calgary Flames but turned it into one of their most uplifting victories of the season. David Pastrnak scored a decisive overtime goal at 4:20, completing a stunning comeback as the Bruins overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period to win 4-3 on Tuesday. This thrilling finish marked a significant moment for the Bruins, who are looking to maintain their momentum with a third consecutive win on Thursday against Edmonton.

The Bruins struggled significantly in the opening period, being outshot and outskated by Calgary, yet managed to keep the score level at 0-0 heading into intermission. However, the Flames seized control early in the second period, scoring twice in the first 1:21. Bruins assistant coach Joe Sacco called a timely timeout to refocus the team, which seemed to energize the Bruins and spark a change in their play.

Elias Lindholm, returning to Calgary where he was honored with a tribute video, ended his 12-game scoring drought with a goal midway through the second period to bring Boston within one. He had a chance to add another late in the period but was denied by Calgary goaltender Dustin Wolf. Moments later, the Flames capitalized on a defensive lapse by the Bruins, with Ryan Lomborg restoring Calgary’s two-goal advantage at 3-1.

Undeterred, the Bruins mounted a determined comeback in the third period. Morgan Geekie ignited the rally by scoring his second goal in as many games just over four minutes into the frame. Shortly afterward, Brad Marchand set up Marc McLaughlin for the game-tying goal, which McLaughlin buried on a second-chance rebound to level the score at 3-3. The Bruins’ persistence in the face of adversity was on full display as they kept Calgary from pulling away again.

Goaltender Jeremy Swayman played a crucial role in the win, making 20 saves, while Pastrnak delivered the decisive moment in overtime. His blistering shot past Dustin Wolf capped the comeback and secured the 4-3 victory. The Bruins will now aim to build on this emotional win as they close out their road trip in Edmonton, carrying the momentum of their resilience and teamwork.

Bruins come from behind to defeat Flames with David Pastrnak’s overtime goal

David Pastrnak scored the winning goal at 4:20 of overtime, helping the Boston Bruins come back from two two-goal deficits to defeat the Calgary Flames 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Pastrnak received a pass from Charlie McAvoy in the right circle and fired the game-winning shot off the post past Calgary goalie Dustin Wolf.

Elias Lindholm scored Boston’s first goal and also added an assist against his former team. Morgan Geekie and Marc McLaughlin each scored in the third period to tie the game and force overtime.

Jeremy Swayman made 20 saves for the Bruins, who had lost the first two games of their five-game road trip but have now won two straight and six of their last eight games.

Calgary scored all three of its goals in the second period. Matt Coronato and Nazem Kadri scored 27 seconds apart to give the Flames an early lead. Ryan Lomberg’s first goal with Calgary made it 3-1 heading into the second intermission.

Wolf stopped 31 shots for Calgary, which has won two and lost two of its last four games.

Boston outshot Calgary 35-23, with 15 shots in the third period and four more in overtime. The Bruins also won 68 percent of their faceoffs.

The Bruins quickly closed the gap in the third period. Geekie scored on a rebound at 4:14, and McLaughlin tied the game at 6:51 with a rebound goal after his own one-time shot was saved.

Boston continued to apply pressure, and Swayman made a key save halfway through the third period, stopping Jakob Pelletier’s backhand attempt on a short-handed breakaway.

Coronato gave Calgary the lead just 54 seconds into the second period, scoring from the left circle off Blake Coleman’s pass. Kadri extended the lead at 1:21, scoring his fourth goal in four games after receiving a pass from Jonathan Huberdeau.

Lindholm scored for Boston at 6:31, firing a wrist shot past Wolf to make it 2-1. Lomberg’s goal at 17:19, off a deflection of Connor Zary’s shot, gave the Flames a 3-1 lead before Boston’s comeback in the third.

Kucherov Leads Lightning’s 8-3 Win Over Flames with Record-Tying Six Points and Guentzel Hat Trick

Nikita Kucherov had an exceptional performance in the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 8-3 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday, registering a goal and five assists, tying franchise records for both points and assists in a single game. His stellar play was highlighted by his playmaking abilities, which made the game easier for his teammates, including Brayden Point, who had a goal and three assists. Kucherov’s six points were instrumental in the Lightning’s dominant performance, and Point praised him as a key factor in the team’s success this season. Tampa Bay has now won three of their last four games.

Jake Guentzel also shined in the game, scoring a hat trick, while Anthony Cirelli contributed a goal and two assists. Tampa Bay’s goaltender, Andrei Vasilevskiy, made 19 saves in his 500th NHL game, and defenseman Ryan McDonagh acknowledged Vasilevskiy’s importance to the team, highlighting his consistency and competitiveness. Despite missing key defensemen, including Victor Hedman and Erik Cernak due to injuries, Tampa Bay was able to overpower the Flames, who have struggled recently, losing seven of their last nine games.

The game began with Jonathan Huberdeau putting Calgary ahead 1-0 early in the first period. However, Kucherov tied the game for Tampa Bay shortly before the first intermission with a breakaway goal. In the second period, Guentzel gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead, and Point extended it with a power-play goal. Cirelli’s second power-play goal of the game made it 4-1, but the Flames responded with two quick goals from Nazem Kadri and Connor Zary to cut the deficit to 4-3. However, the Lightning capitalized on defensive breakdowns by Calgary.

The third period saw Tampa Bay take control with a quick goal from Brandon Hagel, followed by another from Guentzel, which increased the lead to 6-3. The Flames struggled to contain the Lightning’s offensive onslaught, as Guentzel completed his hat trick with a tap-in goal set up by Point. Conor Geekie added another goal to seal the win, making it 7-3 before Guentzel finished the game with an 8-3 final score.

Despite the victory, Tampa Bay’s coach Jon Cooper emphasized the importance of defending well in the third period, noting that the team didn’t just rely on their offensive talent to secure the win. He pointed out that the Lightning’s defense in the final 20 minutes was a crucial part of their success. The Flames, on the other hand, struggled with their defensive play, with Kadri acknowledging that poor defense allowed Tampa Bay’s skilled players to exploit their mistakes and put the game out of reach.

Dustin Wolf earned a shutout as the Calgary Flames defeated the struggling Florida Panthers

Nazem Kadri scored for the third game in a row, and Dustin Wolf ended his three-game losing streak as the Calgary Flames won 3-0 against the struggling Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

The Panthers have now lost two games in a row, both without scoring.

Coleman and Mikael Backlund also scored for Calgary.

Backlund, who also had an assist, almost scored again, but the goal was ruled out after a video review showed he had used a slight kicking motion to put the puck in.

Wolf made 32 saves, recording his second shutout of the season. His record improved to 9-5-1, with one of his key saves coming with 15:05 left in the third period, stopping a breakaway from Sam Bennett with his right pad.

The Panthers decided to rest their starting goalie, Sergei Bobrovsky, and backup Spencer Knight made 24 saves, but his record dropped to 5-5-1.

Florida defenseman Aaron Ekblad was unlucky, hitting the right post twice.

The Panthers were also missing their captain, center Aleksander Barkov, who was out due to illness.

Florida Panthers players in the 1st period

Calgary took the lead with 11:03 left in the first period when Kadri stole the puck from defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and scored against Knight after a great move.

The Flames doubled their lead to 2-0 with 55 seconds left in the second period. Matt Coronato passed the puck to Coleman, who scored from the left circle.

In the third period, Calgary made it 3-0 with 13:43 remaining. Backlund scored his first goal in 15 games, firing the puck past Knight’s glove from the left circle.

Florida’s lineup on Saturday featured three former Flames: Bennett, Matthew Tkachuk, and AJ Greer, who turned 27 on Saturday.

However, it was a better day for the three former Panthers now playing for Calgary: Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, and Ryan Lomberg.

Flames aim to bounce back as they face defending champion Panthers

The Florida Panthers will continue their five-game western road trip on Saturday as they face the Calgary Flames, the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Both teams are looking to recover from tough losses in their previous games. The Flames were beaten 8-3 at home by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, while the Panthers suffered a 4-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

After practice on Friday, Calgary coach Ryan Huska described the loss to the Lightning as “uncharacteristic” for his team, which has a 1-2-1 record in its last four games. He believes playing against the defending champions will help his team stay focused.

“I mean, those are the nights you want to play in,” Huska said. “You get them one time in our building. They’re a very good team. There’s a lot of guys on that team that know each other. So, it always makes for a fun night.”

Jonathan Huberdeau leads the Flames with 11 goals and 21 points. He comes into Saturday’s game on a six-game point streak (four goals, five assists), including a goal and an assist in the last two games.

Saturday’s game is the second in a five-game homestand for the Flames, which will take them into the holiday break. As of Friday, the Flames are one point behind the Colorado Avalanche for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

Earlier on Friday, the Flames called up goalie Devin Cooley from their AHL affiliate, the Calgary Wranglers, after Dan Vladar suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday’s game.

Calgary Flames and Nashville Predators

The Panthers saw their seven-game point streak (6-0-1) end on Thursday with the loss to the Canucks. Despite outshooting Vancouver 27-19, the Panthers gave up 19 turnovers, which contributed to their first shutout of the season.

Three of the Canucks’ goals came from fast-break opportunities, something Panthers coach Paul Maurice said they need to avoid.

“It’s very difficult to defend off a turnover because you’re in an attack position,” Maurice explained. “Then, when you do turn the puck over, it’s very difficult to get to a defensive position.”

The loss ended a four-game winning streak for Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky (13-6-1, 2.87 goals-against average), who has only lost two consecutive starts once this season.

Florida, tied with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, is fifth in the league, averaging 3.53 goals per game. Their top three players—center Sam Reinhart (19 goals, 20 assists for 39 points), Matthew Tkachuk (30 points, 10 goals), and Aleksander Barkov (29 points, 20 assists)—all average more than a point per game. Barkov’s seven-game point streak ended in Thursday’s loss.

Tkachuk, who spent his first six seasons in Calgary, has a goal and three assists in four games against his former team.

The Flames will try to stay out of the penalty box against one of the best power-play teams in the league. Florida is tied with Carolina for the fourth-most power-play goals (26), while the Flames have allowed the most power-play goals (27), with the fourth-worst penalty kill rate in the league at 70.7%.

Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel starred as the Lightning defeated the Flames

Nikita Kucherov scored one goal and had five assists to tie his career-high six-point game, and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy earned a win in his 500th career game as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Calgary Flames 8-3 on Thursday night.

Jake Guentzel had a hat trick in the big win. Brayden Point added one goal and three assists, Anthony Cirelli contributed one goal and two assists, Brandon Hagel scored one goal with an assist, and Conor Geekie also scored. Vasilevskiy made 19 saves in the victory, and the Lightning have won three of their last four games.

For the Flames, Jonathan Huberdeau had one goal and one assist, Nazem Kadri and Connor Zary each scored once, and goalie Dan Vladar stopped 18 shots. Calgary has won only once in their last four games.

The Flames took the lead early when Huberdeau scored his 11th goal of the season at 4:42. However, the Lightning quickly took control by scoring four straight goals.

Calgary Flames (NHL)

Kucherov tied the game with a breakaway goal at the end of the first period. Guentzel then scored from the slot to give Tampa Bay the lead, and Point added a power-play goal early in the second period for a 3-1 advantage. Cirelli increased the lead with another power-play goal at 11:05 in the second period.

The Flames came back with two goals to make it 4-3. Kadri scored his 10th goal at 12:14, and Zary scored his seventh at 14:50.

However, Hagel quickly restored the Lightning’s two-goal lead, scoring just 43 seconds into the third period. Guentzel added another power-play goal at 11:34, and Geekie completed the scoring with his fifth goal of the season. Guentzel finished his hat trick by scoring his 16th goal at 17:21 to cap off the 8-3 victory.

Lightning look to strengthen defense in matchup against Flames

After a 2-1 loss, the Tampa Bay Lightning are not focusing on their offensive play as they prepare for a road game against the Calgary Flames on Thursday.

Instead, the Lightning are concentrating on their defensive game after a disappointing 5-3 defeat to the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, which ended their two-game winning streak.

“I think we gave up four breakaways in the first 20 minutes,” said Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper. “It’s unacceptable, and that’s how you walk away with no points in a hockey game.”

Before the Edmonton game, the Lightning had scored 30 goals over a six-game stretch, which helped them rise to the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

But all that was forgotten after a poor performance, despite the unlucky nature of the game-winning goal. Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped Leon Draisaitl on a breakaway, but the puck bounced off the skate of defenseman Victor Hedman and into the net.

“We gave up way too many odd-man (rushes) to just blame it on a bad bounce. Probably unlucky how it turned out, but I think we had more in that game,” said Lightning defenseman J.J. Moser. “It was a wasted game. There were certainly points in it for us, and that’s what (stinks) right now.”

Forward Jake Guentzel is heading into the Calgary game with a four-game goal-scoring streak for the Lightning, who are 1-1-0 to start a four-game road trip.

Calgary Flames (NHL)

The Flames are returning home after breaking an eight-game road losing streak (0-5-3) with a 4-3 comeback victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Before that win, the Flames had only one victory in their last seven games (1-4-2).

“We found a way to win that game and end that little skid that we had on the road. That’s great,” said forward Jonathan Huberdeau, who has three goals and four assists in a five-game point streak. “Now we’ve got a big stretch coming up at home, so we’ve got to take advantage of that.”

The Flames have earned points in their last seven home games (6-0-1) and have a 10-3-1 record at the Saddledome, where they will play their next five games.

Not only did the Flames score more than three goals for the first time in 26 games (excluding shootout goals), but they also did a great job of shutting down the opposition’s offense in the third period to protect their lead.

“Third period, when the game was on the line, I thought we had some key shot blocks. That’s something that’s important for our team,” said Calgary coach Ryan Huska.

Another key factor was the special teams battle. Calgary’s penalty kill, which had struggled all season, was perfect for the second straight game, and Huberdeau’s game-winning goal came during a second-period power play against the league’s top penalty kill.

“These are the goals that you want to score,” Huberdeau said. “That was a huge one for us, taking that lead. In the third period, we kind of shut down the opposition.”

Flames overcome three deficits to defeat struggling Predators

Jonathan Huberdeau and Kevin Rooney each scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Calgary Flames to a 4-3 comeback win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.

Nazem Kadri and Brayden Pachal also scored for the Flames, who had only one win in their last seven games (1-4-2) and broke an eight-game road winless streak (0-5-3). Calgary’s goalie, Dan Vladar, made 17 saves.

Jonathan Marchessault scored twice, and Tommy Novak added a goal for the Predators, who are at the bottom of the league standings and have lost eight games in a row (0-5-3). Filip Forsberg had two assists, and Juuse Saros stopped 24 shots, but his team gave up three leads during the game.

Huberdeau gave Calgary its first lead with 1:19 left in the second period, scoring on a loose puck during a power play for his 10th goal of the season to make it 4-3.

This was the first time the Flames scored more than three goals in a game (excluding a shootout) in 26 games, and it was their first time doing so since their third game of the season.

The Flames held off a strong push from Nashville in the third period, with Vladar making seven saves and Calgary surviving a Predators power play.

Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators

Marchessault opened the scoring at 7:45 of the first period, redirecting a shot from the slot set up by Steven Stamkos.

Kadri got Calgary on the board at 10:22 of the first with a sharp-angle shot that Saros couldn’t handle and accidentally knocked into his own net during a scramble.

Novak answered 30 seconds later with his fourth goal of the season, finishing a three-way passing play during a rush.

Rooney tied it up again at 2:27 of the second with a one-timer from a pass by Walker Duehr.

Marchessault gave the Predators the lead again at 7:41 of the second, finishing a two-on-one rush with Forsberg.

Pachal tied the game once more at 13:41 of the second with his first goal of the season, ending a 29-game goal drought, by firing a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle.

Flames with slumping offense head to struggling Predators

Two teams that are struggling will face off when the Nashville Predators host the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.

The Flames come into Nashville with just one win in their last seven games (1-4-2), while the Predators have gone winless in their last seven (0-4-3).

Although the Flames were expected to miss the playoffs this season, their recent decline has been disappointing. The Predators had high hopes for this year after adding three experienced veterans to a team that made the playoffs last season. However, they are now trying to avoid finishing last in the league standings and are 12 points behind a playoff spot.

“I can’t speak for everyone, but personally, you just try to focus on the next game,” said Nashville defenseman Luke Schenn. “You obviously can’t change the past, and it seems like a crazy mountain to climb if you start looking at the big picture, so one day at a time, and just try to focus on what you can do to control the outcome and try to play as good as you can individually.”

The Predators are returning home after finishing a four-game road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. They have scored only 11 goals in their seven-game losing streak and have scored just once in their last two games, with that goal coming late in the Ottawa game with less than two minutes remaining.

“It’s tough,” said coach Andrew Brunette. “I thought the effort was there (in Ottawa). A couple mistakes there … and when you’re not scoring goals, they’re hard to recover from. … We’ll break free at some point.”

Pittsburgh Penguins and Calgary Flames

The Flames are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Sunday. The game was tied 2-2 early in the third period before Calgary gave up four unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes.

“We had stretches where I liked what we were doing, we had some good zone time,” said coach Ryan Huska. “But how we were away from the puck, with the odd-man rushes against … I mean that, to me, is the difference between winning and losing and that’s where we’re struggling a little bit on the road.”

The Flames were in seventh place in the league standings on Nov. 23, but now they are out of a playoff spot. Calgary has not won any of its last eight road games and has a 3-7-4 record away from home.

“We’re not in a bad spot, so I think we can’t get frustrated,” said forward Jonathan Huberdeau. “We’ve got to stay positive and find a way to get a win. This is our last road game before Christmas, so I think that’s the one we need to focus on.”

While the Predators are working to fix many parts of their game, the Flames’ biggest issue is their lack of offense. Even though their power play has been effective in the last 10 games, Calgary has gone a franchise-record 25 games without scoring more than three goals. The last time the Flames scored four or more goals (excluding shootout wins) was in their third game of the season on Oct. 13.

“We have to find a way to hit the (offensive blue line) with a little bit more speed, make sure we’re hungrier for the loose pucks,” said Huska. “And when you have the stretches of zone time that we had (Sunday), you have to find a way to capitalize and get a little bit more inside.”

Roope Hintz scores the go-ahead goal as the Stars pull ahead to defeat the Flames

Roope Hintz broke a tie in the third period, and Thomas Harley scored two goals as the Dallas Stars defeated the Calgary Flames 6-2 on Sunday.

Jason Robertson scored once and added an assist, while Wyatt Johnston and Evgenii Dadonov each scored a goal. Oskar Back collected two assists for the Stars, who ended a two-game losing streak. Goaltender Jake Oettinger made 29 saves in the win.

Jonathan Huberdeau and Connor Zary scored for the Flames, who have won only once in their last seven games. Goalie Dustin Wolf stopped 22 shots.

Dallas has a strong 11-2-0 record at home, with the best home-winning percentage in the league.

The game was tied at 2-2 when Hintz took off on a two-on-one rush, finishing a pass from Esa Lindell at 5:13 in the third period. This gave him his fifth goal in his last nine games.

Harley scored two goals 61 seconds apart in the third period, extending Dallas’ lead. He finished the game with his second goal at 19:02.

Calgary Flames (NHL)

Before the third-period explosion, both teams exchanged leads. Huberdeau opened the scoring just 60 seconds into the game with a one-timer off Nazem Kadri’s pass during an odd-man rush, marking his ninth goal of the season.

Johnston answered at 4:26 of the first period, scoring a short-handed goal after taking advantage of a turnover at the Calgary blue line. He avoided a couple of defenders and fired a shot for his sixth goal of the season.

Robertson put the Stars ahead 2-1 at 7:47 of the second period, scoring his sixth goal of the season after holding off a defender during a two-on-one rush.

However, Zary tied the game at 16:08 of the second period, scoring on a rebound for his sixth goal of the season.

The Flames have set a franchise record with 25 games without scoring more than three goals in regulation. They have not won a road game in eight tries and hold a 3-7-4 record away from home.

After struggling on the road, the Stars are back home to take on the Flames

The Dallas Stars are hoping to keep their strong home performance going when they face the Calgary Flames on Sunday.

Even though the Stars have struggled on the road, they have the best home record in the league at 10-2-0. On the road, Dallas has only a 6-8-0 record, which affects their confidence.

“A timely save, a timely goal. That’s what it comes down to,” said coach Peter DeBoer. “If you’re going to be a good road team, you’ve got to get timely goals at the right time, and you’ve got to get timely saves, and we don’t seem to be getting either of those on the road right now.”

The Stars are returning to Dallas after losing two straight road games, including a 3-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday. Penalties were a major issue, as the Stars were shorthanded a season-high six times and allowed two power-play goals.

“We can’t be doing that,” said captain Jamie Benn, who took a double-minor for high-sticking while his team was already on a power play. “I definitely could have prevented my penalty. I can only speak for myself, but it was a dumb penalty, and they found a way to get one in the net.”

Although the Stars are still one of the best defensive teams in the league, they have had trouble scoring lately. Jason Robertson, a two-time 40-goal scorer, has only managed five goals this season. Robertson even had a goal in Vegas taken away after review.

“It might be frustrating, but get out there and find another way to score,” said DeBoer. “That’s what you’re supposed to do.”

The Flames are also struggling on the road as they start a two-game trip.

Calgary Flames (NHL)

After a 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, the Flames have a 3-6-4 road record, winning just one of their last 11 away games.

Calgary is also on a 1-3-2 skid, although they managed one win and an overtime loss during a brief two-game homestand.

“We got three out of four (points) during our little homestand,” said defenseman MacKenzie Weegar. “Our big focus is getting on the road here, and getting some wins on the road.”

Despite their struggles, the Flames are in a playoff spot. They have scored a power-play goal in eight of their last nine games, recording 10 power-play goals during that stretch.

However, they have allowed 10 power-play goals in their last seven games and have gone 24 games without scoring more than three goals in a game. No player is on pace to reach 50 points.

“If you score three goals a night, you should win a game,” said coach Ryan Huska. “And I do feel like over time, when we play the right way and play our game, we’re going to score more than three goals.”

Forward Jonathan Huberdeau, tied for the team lead with 16 points, added, “We’re a hard team to play against because of that, because we play more defensively. And obviously as an offensive guy, you have to buy into that. If you do that, I feel like you’re going to get rewarded at some point.”

Blues extend point streak to 5 with overtime victory against Flames

Colton Parayko scored the overtime goal, and Robert Thomas added a goal and two assists as the St. Louis Blues won 4-3 against the Calgary Flames on Thursday.

Zack Bolduc and Pavel Buchnevich also scored for the Blues, who are 4-0-1 since Jim Montgomery took over as coach after Drew Bannister was fired on Nov. 24.

Goaltender Jordan Binnington made 36 saves, including 14 in the third period, and Philip Broberg assisted on two goals. The Blues managed to recover after losing a two-goal lead and a one-goal advantage.

Jakob Pelletier, Matt Coronato, and MacKenzie Weegar scored for the Flames, who have only one win in their last six games (1-3-2). Goalie Dan Vladar stopped 20 shots. This loss ended Calgary’s six-game home winning streak.

The Blues started strong when Bolduc scored a one-timer from the slot at 12:49 of the first period for his third goal of the season.

St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets

Thomas extended the lead at 14:49 with his fourth goal of the season, skating through defenders to the left circle and scoring with a sharp shot.

However, Pelletier quickly responded 15 seconds later, scoring his first goal of the season by putting in a rebound.

In the second period, Coronato tied the game with a power-play goal at 5:23, taking a shot from the high slot for his seventh goal. Calgary has scored on the power play in eight of their last nine games.

Buchnevich gave the Blues a 3-2 lead early in the third period, finishing off a nice passing play with a tap-in goal for his seventh of the season.

But just 66 seconds later, Weegar tied it for Calgary, scoring from the slot after a strong forecheck for his fourth goal
