His decision-making came into question at times, particularly when holding onto the ball too long. Teammates like Devon Witherspoon expressed confidence in Darnold’s ability to grow into the role.
Drew Lock, operating with the second-team offense, had arguably the best day among the quarterbacks. He delivered several highlight-reel passes, including two end-zone touchdowns to Cody White and another to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Lock’s rhythm and accuracy stood out. Meanwhile, rookie Jalen Milroe worked exclusively with the third team and had fewer reps, though he did complete a touchdown to fellow rookie Elijah Arroyo, showcasing his potential in limited action.

Seattle’s offensive line rotation reflected both clarity and competition. First-round pick Grey Zabel appears to have locked down the starting left guard role, taking every rep with the first unit. On the right side, a battle is brewing between Anthony Bradford and rookie Christian Haynes for the starting right guard position.
Both split snaps with the first team, while Sataoa Laumea and others filled in behind them. Haynes also saw brief work at the center during individual drills.
Second-round pick Nick Emmanwori made an early impression, frequently lining up with the first-team defense in nickel and dime packages. He worked primarily in the slot, defending running backs and tight ends. Coaches praised his adaptability, intelligence, and effort. Teammates like Witherspoon emphasized Emmanwori’s physical tools and football IQ, suggesting he could emerge as a significant contributor once fully acclimated to the system.
Kupp Impresses in Full Workout as Seahawks Enjoy Near-Perfect OTA Attendance
Newly acquired wide receiver Cooper Kupp showed little sign of aging or past injuries, participating fully in the workout and catching several passes during red-zone drills. His precise route running and ability to disguise intentions impressed both coaches and teammates. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the opposite side, Kupp’s presence adds a new dimension to Seattle’s offense and provides valuable practice reps for the defensive backs.
Attendance for the voluntary OTA session was notably high, with only a couple of veterans—DeMarcus Lawrence and Johnathan Hankins—not spotted. Several key players like Kenneth Walker III, Ernest Jones IV, and Uchenna Nwosu were present but limited or held out due to recovery from off-season procedures. The team is benefiting from strong participation as they continue to build under new head coach Mike Macdonald, who has yet to speak publicly about roster specifics.
