Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, was spotted arriving in Atlanta in style on Saturday, September 21, ahead of the team’s Sunday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons.
He wore an all-black outfit, accessorized with silver chains, a watch, and a vintage 1998 Zeus & Miles baseball cap with “HE GOT GAME” printed on it, a nod to Spike Lee’s famous film.
His look was further complemented by sunglasses and backless black leather shoes, with some fans interpreting his fashion choices as inspired by his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album.
In a video posted on the Chiefs’ Instagram account, Travis Kelce was seen walking down the airplane stairs with his luggage, to the tune of d.higg’s song “Proud.” The caption accompanying the video read, “@killatrav means business,” highlighting his serious approach to the game. Kelce’s all-black outfit made quite an impression, with fans buzzing about his sleek style and connection to Swift’s music.
Despite the Chiefs’ undefeated start to the NFL season, with wins over the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, Kelce has not yet scored a touchdown.
During the September 18 episode of his podcast, New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles alum Jason Kelce, Travis opened up about his performance frustrations. He admitted that he used to lose his cool when he felt his performance wasn’t up to his high standards, reflecting his competitive nature.
Kelce emphasized his dedication to playing at a high level and the personal challenge of accepting mediocre stats. He noted that he plays with a high level of accountability and finds it difficult to cope with less-than-stellar performances.
However, he acknowledged that football is unpredictable, and not every game will go as planned. Despite his slow start to the season, Kelce is maintaining a positive outlook and refusing to let it affect his mentality.
Throughout the season, Taylor Swift has been a supportive presence, attending Chiefs games and cheering on Kelce. She watched the season opener with Kelce’s parents and brought her own mother to the September 15 game. While Kelce has yet to make a major statistical impact on the field, his relationship with Swift and his focus on improving his game has kept him in the spotlight.
