Bournemouth’s midfielder Tyler Adams wasn’t included in the squad for the match against Luton. This happened after the club mentioned that some players had been affected by an illness earlier in the week.
Adams, who plays for the United States, recently came back from a long break due to surgery on his hamstring.
The Premier League team didn’t say why Adams wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s game, but the manager, Andoni Iraola, mentioned in a press conference before the match that a few players were unwell.
Adams didn’t play in Bournemouth’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday; he was on the bench but didn’t get to play.
Last week, he made his first start for Bournemouth in a 2-1 win against Everton and played the entire game.
When asked during the week’s press conference if there were any new injuries, Iraola said there weren’t. He mentioned that the main concern was if the players had a fever or not, as it’s hard to play football when you’re unwell.
