Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree have both created exciting moments, and now they bring that energy to Salt Lake City, a place known for unforgettable UFC events over the last few years.
Saturday’s UFC 307 will feature a light heavyweight championship fight as the main event between Pereira and Rountree. In the co-main event, Raquel Pennington will defend her newly-earned women’s bantamweight title against former champion Julianna Pena.
Pereira aims to strengthen his Fighter of the Year bid as he defends his title for the third time this year. “Poatan” has scored impressive knockouts against Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 in April and Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 in June. This will be Pereira’s fourth fight in just 11 months.
Rountree is getting his first chance at UFC gold after winning by stoppage against former title contender Anthony Smith earlier this year.
