Mikhail Sergachev scored with just 11.4 seconds left in overtime to give the Utah Hockey Club a 3-2 comeback win over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.

Sergachev backhanded a pass from Logan Cooley past goalie Thatcher Demko at the end of a two-on-one break. This was Sergachev’s second overtime goal of the season.

Clayton Keller had a goal and an assist, and Dylan Guenther also scored for Utah, which won its third straight game. Cooley added two assists, and Karel Vejmelka made 24 saves as Utah extended its point streak to six games (5-0-1).

For Vancouver, Danton Heinen and Dakota Joshua scored, Quinn Hughes recorded two assists, and Demko made 28 saves. Hughes, the reigning Norris Trophy winner, leads all NHL defensemen with 30 assists.

Vancouver only had one shot on goal in the first 15 minutes of the game during a scoreless opening period. Demko stopped Cooley’s breakaway attempt late in the first.

Demko made another key save midway through the second period, blocking Alexander Kerfoot’s close-range shot during a three-on-one rush.

Heinen put Vancouver ahead 1-0 on a power play at 12:39 in the second period. He scored after a shot by Hughes hit the boards and came right to him, allowing Heinen to score from the right circle.

Joshua made it 2-0 for Vancouver early in the third period with a wrist shot around Vejmelka.

Keller cut the lead to 2-1 midway through the third when he grabbed a rebound from a Nick Schmaltz shot and put it into an empty net.

Guenther then tied the game 2-2 with 4:30 left on a power play after Tyler Myers was penalized for cross-checking Keller.
