Three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw is focused on his recovery after having two surgeries.
Kershaw shared on Instagram that he underwent foot and knee surgeries on Wednesday. He thanked doctors Kenneth Jung and Neal ElAttrache for performing the procedures.
“Planning to crush some rehab and be as good as can be come next year,” Kershaw wrote on Thursday.
At 36 years old, Kershaw has a career record of 212-94 with a 2.50 ERA in 429 starts and three relief appearances, all with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He chose free agency over a $10 million player option but is expected to return to the Dodgers.
Kershaw struggled with injuries last season, finishing with a 2-2 record and a 4.50 ERA in seven starts. He missed the Dodgers’ run to their eighth World Series title.
