Vinicius Oliveira is on a mission to make history by becoming the first to defeat Umar Nurmagomedov in MMA.
Both fighters emerged victorious at UFC Vegas 87 this past Saturday at the UFC APEX, with Oliveira, also known as “Lokdog,” taking to Instagram to share a purported direct message exchange with the Russian fighter.
Nurmagomedov, who secured a decision victory over Bekzat Almakhan to maintain his unblemished professional record of 17-0, allegedly responded to a message not disclosed in the post, writing to the Brazilian, “Any time. Even in street.”
In a fiery reply, Oliveira, who earned $100,000 in bonuses for his spectacular flying knee knockout of Bernardo Sopai, shot back, “Shut your chicken s*** mouth. On the street with no rules, I’ll rip your heart out and feed it to some dogs. You don’t scare me. First, you’re short, weak, and you only have wrestling. I respect you, but you have no chance of beating me, not even in your best dream.”
He then claimed that Nurmagomedov had agreed to a fight, but negotiations hit a snag when Oliveira refused to share his phone number.
“Talk to me during the fight. I’ll communicate with my manager, who will liaise with Dana. Let’s make it happen, buddy,” Oliveira wrote.
Asserting his dominance, Oliveira added, “This guy [Nurmagomedov] is afraid of me. Nobody wants to fight him, but I do. However, he reportedly declined the fight, indicating he gets nightmares at the mention of my name. I’m coming for you!”
“The new victim has been found,” Oliveira continued. “[Nurmagomedov] will sleep and have nightmares with my name. Let’s make it happen, Dana White. Don’t be a coward and accept this fight. I’ll show you the real war.”
